Franschoek Uncorked is a wine festival that Margot won tickets to, natch I was super keen to go, even tho I'm not refined enough to actually know the differences between wines or even, really, like them.
It was really fun tho and the weather was gorgeous. We sat on hay bales and listened to jazz in the sunshine :)
Legendary Chocolate Block wine, that tastes nothing like chocolate btw and really wasn't my cup of tea.

ReplyDeleteInstead I spent most of saturday preparing myself for my final hockey game. I dosed myself with red bull and McNabs and got super duper amped, only to have the other team not pitch. So we spent our game time in the bar exercising our right arms! Then I went home and watched movies till 4 in the morning thanks to the constant little shake I had.

ReplyDeleteMy weekend was good, though not as exciting - Friday went to watch Brian Finch (and the Elevators) play at the Lifesavers Shack. A very talented acoustic guitarist, who got better as he got more drunk - go figure.
Saturday morning was a Lavender Blue breakfast morning and on Saturday evening, after watching a dvd about a heist, the inspiration was had to go gnoming - so some person in East London is minus their concrete donkey as he travels East London to 'find himself'. We called the donkey Dennis. I'll see if I can get a hold of pic's.
Sunday I spectated frisbee on the beach and after went to beachbreak.
And Zoe, just to clarify in my mind, is this the Ryan from Gonubie?
